From his journeys as a travel vlogger to inspiring countless individuals, his impact extends far beyond the digital realm. Wil Dasovich is a 33-year-old Filipino-American YouTuber who has captivated audiences worldwide with his relatable vlogs, inspiring stories, and infectious laughter.
Born and raised in California, Wil's love for storytelling began at a young age. His YouTube channel, launched in 2011, quickly gained popularity for its authentic and engaging content, with currently over 2.73 million subscribers. From documenting his travels to sharing personal anecdotes, Wil's videos resonated with viewers who appreciated his genuine and down-to-earth personality.
After graduating in 2013, Wil traveled around before he came to the Philippines and decided to stay to learn its language and culture. He said that growing up in a predominantly white community with no Filipinos around, he became intrigued and spent entire days and nights reading and memorizing words and challenged himself to not leave the country until he was fluent in Tagalog.
He has traveled to places such as Antarctica, Asia, North America, and many more. And according to one interview, his recommended destination is Iceland in Europe. Wil said that if you are an extensive traveler, finding something new is always a must. His ambition to travel to new places is endless from India, South America, and more specifically the Mindanao Island of the Philippines.
Wil has also appeared in numerous Pinoy TV shows; one that heโs most known for is the Pinoy Big Brother Series, Celebrity Bluff, and Rated K in 2017, where they featured the story of how he survived cancer within 6 months and inspired many like him to be hopeful and resilient in life. In 2021, he officially launched a podcast on Spotify named Superhuman tackling health, lifestyle, and motivations from his own experiences.
Throughout the years, he has won every award nomination he had, including the Vloger of the Year in 2018 at the Shorty Awards and his most recent one in CICP Spotlight 2020 as the Travel Champion. Wil said that he is always honored to receive such honors and heartfully dedicates them to his loved ones and supporters who have been with him every step.
Beyond his travel vlogs, Wil is also a passionate advocate for global understanding. He uses his platform to promote cultural exchange and foster a sense of unity among people from different backgrounds.
