All student organizations of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management collaborated in the re-establishment of the herb and vegetable community garden today, July 12, 2024, at the STL Building.
Representatives from HMAP, LTSP, The Concierge, and CSC-SHTM all took part in planting, as this herb and vegetable garden aims to be an educational resource for the students to learn hands-on experiences on gardening, nutrition, and sustainable food production.
This collaboration encourages students, teachers, and staff to learn and connect to nature, even when inside the University. There are plans for this garden to not just be exclusive to SHTM and the STL Building but to have satellite gardens around the university for the HAU community to use and benefit from.
