LOOK: Walking Together: HAU’s Inclusivity Walk Unites Campus Community for Pride Month

In celebration of Pride Month, the University Student Council organized an inclusivity walk yesterday, June 28, inside the campus which aimed to foster a sense of togetherness and acceptance among the community.

With the theme, “Inclusivity: Walking Together”, the walk was participated by various HAU employees, student organizations, councils, and publications. The walk saw a remarkable turnout of participants from a wide range of backgrounds and communities.

To symbolize the distinct identities and causes advocated by each group, HAU-USC distributed rainbow and colored ribbons. The walk commenced along the boulevard, where participants proudly showcased and waved their flags and ribbons during the event proper.

One of the objectives of the inclusivity walk was to create a safe space where everyone could feel accepted and respected for who they are. By organizing such events, the University Student Council aims to cultivate a culture of inclusivity that extends beyond Pride Month. The walk served as a reminder that diversity is a strength that should be celebrated year-round.
