NEWS: CSC-SHTM MDA ‘24 successfully held after more than 5-year hiatus

After a more than 5-Year hiatus of MDA in the department, The Concierge held its Miting de Avance for the CSC-SHTM Candidates on March 20, 2024, Wednesday at STL Lobby from 1 PM to 4:00 PM.

In preparation for the HAUlalan 2024, the publication has initiated the Miting de Avance that fosters transparency and democracy within the student body.

The event was organized to formally introduce and present the platforms, advocacies, and goals of the candidates along with the briefing and question and answer from the panelists, students, and faculties. The panel consisted of student leaders from the LTSP, HMAP, CSC-SHTM, and The Concierge who brought a wealth of experience and expertise in testing the commitment and willingness of the candidates to serve the SHTM Community.

The hiatus from interviewing student council candidates may have led to a gap in continuity and institutional memory within the student council structure and the publication. By resuming this interview process, The Concierge seeks to restore the student council system, inject fresh perspectives, and ensure that qualified and dedicated individuals are elected to represent their fellow Peacocks and Peahens effectively.

Through this initiative, The Concierge demonstrated its commitment to nurturing future leaders among the student body. By offering a platform for candidates to showcase their leadership skills and engage in meaningful conversations with their fellow students, the organization has boosted the empowerment of young individuals to take leadership roles within the university and in their lives.
